BEZA Coordination meeting: Strategic Meeting to Address Investor Concerns

On October 23, 2024, BEZA convened a high-level meeting to address key operational challenges faced by investors across Bangladesh’s government and G2G economic zones. Representatives from Bangladesh Special Economic Zone (BSEZ), Mirsarai, Jamalpur, Shreehatta, Moheshkhali Economic Zones, and BEZIA gathered to discuss issues such as utility shortages, unfinished infrastructure, and complex procedures related to licensing, bond and warehouse facilities, and import regulations—barriers impacting efficient industrial operations.

Notably, BSEZ has set an exemplary standard with reliable utility access and world-class infrastructure, enhancing ease of business for investors. In contrast, other economic zones require more robust support to meet basic industrial needs and streamline administrative processes.

The esteemed chairman of BEZA; Mr. Ashik Chowdhury committed to accelerating solutions, including enhanced utility provision and simplified regulatory pathways, to boost investor confidence and operational efficiency across all zones.
