In a significant post-MOU milestone, BSEZ inaugurated the Kumon Connect project at the 65th Sonpara Government Primary School on November 28, 2023.

Prior to the launch, two carefully selected instructors underwent comprehensive training at the BRAC Learning Center on November 18, 2023. This training aimed to equip them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively guide students through the Kumon Connect program. Now, 32 eager students have the opportunity to engage in this innovative learning experience.

The project reached a remarkable point on its launch date, November 28, 2023, with a momentous soft launch ceremony. Distinguished guests, including BEZA Chairman Mr. Shaikh Yusuf Harun, Japanese Ambassador Mr. IWAMA Kiminori, Chief Representative of JICA Mr. Ichiguchi Tomohide, Managing Director of BRAC Kumon Ltd. Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed, and Managing Director of Bangladesh SEZ Ltd. Mr Taro Kawachi, graced the ceremony. The event featured a tablet handover to Sonpara Government Primary School, symbolizing the integration of advanced digital resources into the learning experience.

This initiative represents a crucial stride in BSEZ’s mission to enhance educational opportunities and contribute positively to the community. As the Kumon Connect project takes root, BSEZ remains dedicated to fostering a culture of learning and empowerment among local youth, signaling a brighter educational landscape ahead.
